Viagra or Sildenafil Citrate has made quite a revolution on the treatment of male sexual dysfunction these past few years. Viagra is in a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase inhibitors, it is a type of pill that is taken by mouth to help men achieve and maintain an erection. However, the use of Viagra has been reported to have adverse side effects on men with certain types of heart diseases.

Viagra Side Effects on Men with Heart Diseases

Viagra or Sildenafil has two actions that might cause dire consequences on consumers with heart diseases. First, it can lower the consumer’s blood pressure and also, it interacts with nitrates. i.e. Viagra, if taken together with Nitrates can cause a massive decrease in blood pressure and will make you dizzy, lightheaded or even faint. In some cases, patients have died from combining Nitrates with Viagra or other erectile dysfunction medicines. Nitrates are used to treat the chest pain associated with angina and to ease the symptoms of congestive heart failure (CHF).

SIldenafil is a vasodilator (a drug that dilates blood vessels), and it lowers the systolic blood pressure. The vasodilating effects of Sildenafil can become hazardous especially when combined with the vasodilating effects of Nitrates (drugs that are commonly taken by patients with coronary heart disease). Patients and consumers who are taking both Sildenafil and Nitrates are more prone to develop hypotension (abnormally low blood pressure) and fainting. If you are taking Nitrates you must NEVER take Sildenafil. Furthermore, do not take Viagra or other erectile dysfunction medicines within 24 hours of taking nitrates.

Viagra was approved by the FDA in 1998, when Viagra was first introduced into the market in the year 1998 reports of heart attacks and sudden deaths after taking the drug  has been all over the news. However, Sildenafil appears to have minor effects to men who are even suffering from severe coronary heart diseases, as long as they do not take nitrates. When used properly and appropriately, Viagra is helpful for men with erectile dysfunction. By taking the medicine as prescribed and by knowing what adverse effects to look for, Viagra can be safe and effective. Before taking Viagra, you must consult your physician to see if it is right for you.

Use only Real Viagra to treat male erectile dysfunction.

viagra side effects

Prescription medicines rarely work perfectly and many may cause bad side effects to patients under treatment for various ailments. This is one of the reasons why you can only get them with a medical doctor’s prescription. Male impotency pills such as Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are no exception to this fact.

The reason why almost all prescription drugs has certain side effects is because the medication is flowing throughout your body and may affect other parts of the body that are not intended for the pill’s active ingredients to treat.

Therefore, it is better for patients to know about the drugs side effect so that they can take correct actions when the side effects surface.

The very popular male impotency drug Viagra has several side effects of which sexual patients taking them should be aware of. This little blue pill blocks PDE5 (PDE 5 inhibitor), but it also has an effect on PDE6. PDE6 is used in the cone cells in the eye retina, so Viagra can have a negative effect on certain people’s color vision.

Many erectile dysfunction or ED patients who take Viagra notice a change in blue and gree colors. Some may see a bluish hue for several hours. This is the reason why pilots are not permitted to consume Viagra within 12 hours of a flight.

The next, but rather dangerous side effect of viagra are patients who are taking other medications such as nitroglycerin for angina (heart problem). Nitroglycerin works by increasing nitric oxide and helps with angina by opening up the arteries that supply the heart with oxygen. If you are a heart patient taking nitroglycerin and Viagra together, the increased nitric oxide plus the blocking of PDE5 can lead to serious medical emergencies.
Other side effects of Viagra may include little things like minor headaches, blured vision, muscle aches, palpitation and even heart attacks in extreme circumstances. The possibility of getting heart attacks is perhaps the most important reason why Viagra is a prescription drug and cannot be bought over the counter.

Your doctor will have to study your medical history to be certain that you are not susceptible to heart attacks when you take Viagra.

Sometimes, Viagra patients even get painful, long lasting erections and have to see their physician to undo the unwanted painful erections. Then there are also concerns that patients who are not suffering from erectile dysfuntion who consume Viagra for recreational purpose may end up with the drug dependency. That means that they may become really impotent without taking Viagra.

So what about the side effects of Cialis and Levitra impotency pills? Well, because Cialis and Levitra block the PDE5 enzyme, they work the same way as Viagra do. These prescription pills help erectile dysfunction men who have difficulties in maintaining an erection because of blood flow conditions. Just like Viagra, they only work when the patient is sexually aroused or stimulated. Although Cialis and Levitra also block PDE5, their side effects measured against Viagra are almost similar with some slight differences.

So how to avoid the bad side effects of these male sexual stimulant pills? The short answer is to avoid them all together because the risk of having a heart attack is too high to take.

For some, a changing of lifestyle habits such as quitting smoking, stopping alcohol abuse, reducing weight and reducing stress may just bring their pecker back to its full glory.

The good news is that there are alternatives to presciptive sexual stimulant pills. For centuries, from tribal traditions to Imperial Courts of China, physicians of old were already prescribing natural herbal remedies to treat kings, emperors and noblemen fromm the scourge of male impotency with very good results.

Today, aided with modern science, these herbs are identified and scientifically blended into pills to treat men with erectile dysfunction and as an alternative to Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.

This class of natural herbal sexual stimulant pills are commonly referred to as natural herbal Viagra. Because of its natural and safe herbal ingredients, generic Viagra pills are available without prescription because they have no or very little side effects and are generally much cheaper than their prescription counterparts.

However, don’t underestimate these natural Viagra alternative for they are also very effective in treating erectile dysfunction. They have to be or else, the imperial ancient physicians who treated kings and emperors of old with these herbal remedies would have been in very serious trouble back then.

If you want to avoid the hassles and the side effects of prescriptive impotency pills, then give natural herbal Viagra a try. To be on the safer side, look for generic herbal Viagra that are manufactured by FDA approved labs so as to certain the quality control of the pills.
